Shanti Consulting, LLC is registered in Indiana, US, founded in 2001 by David Peace and R. Gene McCullum in response to the needs generated by the phenomenal increase in business activity between India and the US.

Shanti Consulting drew from the experience of R. Gene McCullum's management expertise as Vice President of a manufacturing company in Indiana, and David Peace's expertise as a cross-cultural practitioner in New York City.

In India, Shanti Consulting is registered as Shanti Path Consultants Pvt. Limited and is an alliance of consultants based in Delhi, specializing in bridging gaps in skills and understanding that exist between India and her global partners.

The tree is a model toward understanding culture. The unseen roots represent a culture's worldview or foundational understanding of life which feeds the rest of the tree.  The trunk is a group's values and norms.  The leaves represent the expressions of a culture which are easily seen and often identify a group.  We must understand more than the expressions. For success, we must understand a culture's roots and trunk. Cultural blunders happen when the cultural expressions are not known or understood, but cultural disasters happen when we fail to understand the values, norms, and worldview of a group.  Shanti realizes the importance of avoiding both and we train at all levels of cultural understanding.
